Ronald Wecht

In his 30 years of practice, Mr. Wecht has handled a broad range of cases involving brain and spinal cord injuries, including traumatic brain injury, hypoxic and anoxic encephalopathy, and brain damage resulting from infection. He has also concluded a variety of claims where his clients suffered paralyzing injuries including quadriplegia and paraplegia, both as the result of trauma and medical mishaps.

Ron is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the University of California Hastings College of the Law. In law school Mr. Wecht served as a member of the Hastings Law Journal and upon graduation was granted membership in the Order of the Coif, a national honor society of law school graduates who rank in the top 10% of their graduating class.

Mr. Wecht’s aviation background has suited him well in the litigation of private and commercial airplane crash cases. He has also litigated a wide variety of product liability claims involving industrial and consumer products; actions arising from medical malpractice; claims against insurance companies for bad faith withholding of coverage or benefits; and, a variety of general negligence actions.

He is a member of many prestigious professional organizations, including the American Board of Trial Advocates, The San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (where he served on the board of directors for five years), The Lawyer-Pilot’s Bar Association, and the Robert G. McGrath Inn of Court, spending two years on the Executive Board.
