
Mr. Kelly has a distinguished history of representing clients with spinal cord and brain injuries. Through the years he has handled more than 100 cases where the injured party sustained paralyzing spinal injuries or brainstem compression. In the field of birth injuries he has obtained verdicts ands settlements for infants who require lifetime care as a result of brain damage occurring at birth. He is currently “of Counsel” to the firm.
He completed his undergraduate education at San Jose State College, obtaining a degree in 1963. His legal education was obtained at Santa Clara University where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Santa Clara Law Review, 1967-68.
Mr. Kelly is the author of the “The California Practice Guide: Personal Injury,” The Rutter Group, 1984-2005. He is also a member of the Board of Regents, Santa Clara University as well as a member of the Board of Visitors, Santa Clara University School of Law since 1980, and Chairman, 1991. He is a fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of The Bar Association of San Francisco; The State Bar of California; The San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (President, 1981); The Consumer Attorneys of California; The Association of Trial Lawyers of America; The American Board of Trial Advocates (Chapter President, 1994); The International Society of Barristers (President, 2003); and The International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
